Asking why

အတွေးအခေါ်လွတ်လပ်မှုက မေးခွန်းထုတ်ခွင့်နဲ့ စပါတယ်။ ဗမာပြည်က ကျွန်မတို့ ပြည်သူတွေဟာ အဲဒီအခွင့်အရေးကို မရတာ အင်မတန်ကြာပြီဆိုတော့ ကျွန်မတို့ရဲ့ လူငယ်တချို့က ဘယ်လိုမေးခွန်းထုတ်ရမလဲ သိပ်မသိဘူး။ ကျွန်မတို့ရဲ့ပါတီဖြစ်တဲ့ အမျိုးသားဒီမိုကရေစီအဖွဲ့ချုပ်မှာ ကိုယ့်ကိုယ်ကိုယ် ပေးထားတဲ့အလုပ်တစ်ခုက ကျွန်မတို့ရဲ့ ပြည်သူတွေကို မေးခွန်းမေးတတ်အောင် သင်ပေးဖို့ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ သူတို့ကိုဘာပဲလုပ်လုပ် ဘာကြောင့်လဲဆိုတာ ပြန်မမေးဘဲ လက်မခံကြဖို့ သင်ပေးတာပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Freedom of thought begins with the right to ask questions. And this right our people in Burma have not had for so long that some of our young people do not quite know how to ask questions. One of the tasks we have set ourselves, in my party, the National League for Democracy is to teach our people to ask questions, not to accept everything that is done to them without asking why.
