Spiritual aims

တော်လှန်ရေး လှုပ်ရှားမှုတစ်ခုမှာ အရေးပေါ် နိုင်ငံရေး အခြေအနေတွေက အခြေခံ လောကုတ္တရာ ရည်မှန်းချက်တွေကို ဖုံးကွယ်ပစ်နိုင်တယ်၊ ပျက်ပြယ်စေတာမျိုးတောင် ဖြစ်စေနိုင်ပါတယ်။ အဲဒီလို ရည်မှန်းချက်တွေ မကျိုးပျက်ခြင်းနဲ့ အဓိကဖြစ်ခြင်းကို အခိုင်အမာ ဆုပ်ကိုင်ထားတာဟာ စိတ်ဝါဒ သက်သက် မဟုတ်ပါဘူး တက်တက်ကြွကြွနဲ့ ပြုပြင်ပြောင်းလဲမှုတွေ အများကြီးလုပ်ပြီးနောက် ပေါ်လာတဲ့ စနစ်သစ်က သူဖယ်ရှားလိုက်တဲ့ စနစ်ဟောင်းရဲ့ မည်းမှောင်တဲ့ အရောင်ကို ပြောင်းသွားတဲ့ “ခြေလေးချောင်း တော်လှန်ရေး” ရောဂါ မရအောင် လိုအပ်တဲ့ ကာကွယ်မှုပါ

In a revolutionary movement there is always the danger that political exigencies might obscure, or even nullify, essential spiritual aims. A firm insistence on the inviolability and primacy of such aims is not mere idealism but a necessary safeguard against an Animal Farm syndrome where the new order after its first flush of enthusiastic reforms takes on the murky colours of the very system it has replaced.
